Health Guarantee

Healthy, happy Frenchies and families you can count on.

Our Health Promise

We care about every puppy and every family. This is a plain-language summary of our health guarantee. The full terms are in your contract, which we review with you on a FaceTime call before any deposit.

One-Year Genetic Health Guarantee

Every puppy is guaranteed until it turns one year old to be free from life-threatening congenital defects in these areas: serious heart defects (murmurs grade 3 or higher), neurological disorders, liver shunts, severe luxating patella (grade 4), severe hip dysplasia (confirmed by x-ray, graded severe and requiring surgery or euthanasia) and severe spinal abnormalities. Other life-threatening congenital defects are reviewed case by case. Conditions not listed in the contract aren’t covered.

Your Part: Protecting the Guarantee

Vet exam: have your puppy examined by your vet within 72 business hours of delivery or pickup.
If your vet finds a covered condition: let us know in writing within 2 business days of the findings, and send us the diagnosis within 10 days. Talk to us about any health concern. We’ll give you our vet’s information to send records to for a second opinion or confirmation.
Before any treatment or surgery: please contact us first so we can confer and get a second opinion.

The Remedy: A Replacement Puppy

If our veterinarian agrees with the diagnosis after speaking with yours, the puppy is returned within 2 weeks of your written notice and you receive a replacement puppy of equal or lesser value when one becomes available. There are no cash refunds. Vet costs and return costs are the buyer’s responsibility.

What’s Not Covered

Common breed traits and conditions that aren’t covered include breathing and airway conditions typical of the breed, eye and ear issues, allergies and skin problems, tail and teeth differences, and illnesses or injuries after your puppy leaves our care, such as parasites or infectious diseases. The complete exclusions list is in your contract.

Keeping Your Puppy Safe

Please keep your puppy away from grassy areas, dog parks and unvaccinated dogs until the full distemper/parvo vaccine series is complete. Following your vet’s care guidelines helps protect your puppy and your guarantee.

Before Your Puppy Comes Home

Puppies are vet checked before going home, receive age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, and are microchipped with AKC Reunite. All of our adults are AKC registered and DNA tested.
